Natalia is a Ukrainian composer, violinist and multi-instrumentalist.

Defined by a distinctive use of strings and vocals, Natalia's compositions draw from her classical performance background to combine elements of folk, electronica, and new-classical genres. As a solo artist, her main theme is Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine. She has released a number of singles, EPs and albums since her debut LP, 'Choven' in 2020. These also include a collaboration with composer and pianist Angus MacRae on two EPs, Silent Fall (2021) and II (2022), a composition for the vocal collective SANSARA 'A Quiet Night - Tyhoyi Nochi' (2022), released on Platoon, and a collaboration EP ‘There Was A Field’ (2025) with pianist Neil Cowley. Her experimental piece ‘Kyiv’ (2022), based on the sound of the air raids Natalia recorded in Kyiv early in Russia’s war in Ukraine, has been arranged for choir and performed by the Grammy-winning ensemble The Crossing in NYC and Philadelphia (USA) in 2025. Natalia's second, after ‘VAARA’ (2021), solo EP 'When We Return To The Sun' (2022) was recorded at Funkhaus Berlin and released by Nils Frahm & Felix Grimm's label LEITER. Her new upcoming EP ‘Are We Alive?’ is being released by Moderna Records in January 2026, followed by her second full-length album ‘Vil’na’ in March 2026.

Natalia contributed her solo piece, 'Elegy for Spring', to the compilation 'Piano Day Vol.1', which was released by LEITER as part of the annual Piano Day celebrations. Natalia has also been featured in the 7K! Compilation, String Layers Vol.II, with her track, 'The Trees Will Swing'. Her arrangement of Valentyn Silvestrov’s ‘Sleep, Jesus’ (From "2 Christmas Lullabies") for Jess Gillam Ensemble was released on Decca Classics in 2024.

Natalia transitions between different forms of media, including documentary films, theatre plays, installations, and fiction films. Her latest film job ‘THE LAKE’ (2026) is premiering at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Documentary Competition, directed by Abby Ellis and produced by Sandbox Films, The Sundance Institute and Little Monster Films. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jimmy Chin and Chai Vasarhelyi are among the executive producers of the film. Her most recent theatre job was a Kyiv National Academic Molodyy Theatre play ‘ЗІЛЛЯ’ (2024), which became one of the most successful productions in Kyiv.

As a violinist, Natalia performed both as a soloist and a member of chamber groups and orchestras in venues such as Wiener Musikverein, Wiener Konzerthaus, ORF RadioKulturhaus, Synchron Stage Vienna, and the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. She has also worked as a session violinist and violist with composers Lorne Balfe, Jessica Jones, Nainita Desai, Sam Thompson, Ian Arber and many others, including projects like The Wheel of Time (2021-2025), Dopesick (2021-), The Tinder Swindler (2022), Paris Has Fallen (2024-).

After graduating from Lysenko Music School in Kyiv, she was classically trained at The Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna. She then went on to graduate with an MA in Composing for Film and Television from the National Film and Television School, where she was mentored by composer Dario Marianelli.
